Jo Klieber has been making a name for himself for years with high-quality, lightweight and durable bikes and aluminium parts. Now he presents a swivelling stem.

The Liteville boss's latest bike, the E-MTB 301 CE (p. 48), was the source of inspiration for an extremely practical component: the Spaceforce swivelling stem. After unlocking, it can be folded 90 degrees to the side so that bulky e-mountainbikes can be stored in the most space-saving way possible. Whether in the home, in the cellar or on the rear rack. Naturally for Syntace: the 172 gram stem passes the downhill test standard despite the folding mechanism and is approved for racing use. Unfortunately quite expensive at 298 euros.

Florentin Vesenbeckh has been on a mountain bike since he was ten years old. Even on his very first tour, he focussed on single trails - and even after more than 30 years in the saddle of an MTB, these are still the quintessence of biking for him. He spent his youth competing in various bike disciplines and later his cycling career was characterised by years as a riding technique coach. Professionally, the experienced test editor now focusses on e-mountainbikes. In recent years, the qualified sports scientist and trained journalist has tested over 300 bikes and more than 40 different motor systems in the laboratory and in practice.
