Tingling in the fingers, numb palms - the ulnar nerve has probably been put in a headlock. Ergonomic grips with relief wings take the pressure off the palm of the hand and ensure greater comfort on the handlebars.
CONTEC Trail D3 Evo Neo
Contec fixes its Trail D3 with the clever Syntace clamp. It sits bombproof and also offers slip protection. A somewhat soft rubber on the upper side dampens, while the ribbing on the underside increases grip. A little less moulded for an ergo grip. The Trail D3 could also offer a little more cushioning.

CUBE Natural Fit Tour
Cube supports the heel of the hand with a pronounced wing. It is well cushioned and very comfortable to grip, but still sits securely in the hand. The rubber is grippy and provides good grip on the descent. The Natural Fit is clamped to the inside of the handlebars with a screw and can be slid outwards a few millimetres if necessary.

SPECIALIZED Contour XC Grips
The small wing of the Specialized is perfectly modelled on the anatomy of the hand and absorbs shocks like the air suspension of a Mercedes S-Class thanks to its soft rubber. Fingers can literally get caught in the coarse ribbing on the underside. Only in wet conditions does the upper side of the grip, which has no profile, quickly become slippery.

BONTRAGER inForm Evoke RL
The thick Bontrager is a little chubby and actually made for large hands. However, there is hardly any room for them on the narrow grip surface. The surface with its small wing offers a good compromise between grip and comfort, but is not particularly ergonomically shaped. The internal clamping works perfectly.
