The comments became less frequent, however, as we dug our thumbs into the thin carbon inner barends (product name: 411 R Carbon / weight: 44 g / price: 130 euros). Then, thanks to a more aerodynamic but also more efficient riding position, the speed increased by around two kilometres per hour without having to make any more effort. In this comfortable position, the mocking comments in the airstream fell silent.
The brake levers remain within reach. Gentle bends can be initiated in a controlled manner with your hands in the horns. If you turn the handlebars (311 FL-X / 205 g / 250 euros), its strong tilt (16 degrees backsweep) comes into its own. The changed wrist position is soon perceived as normal. The riding position becomes slightly more upright. The grips (711 R / 71 g / 20 euros) ride inconspicuously.
The 16-degree handlebars ensure a comfortable riding position with a relaxed hand position. The internally mounted horns provide the option of a sporty posture in the saddle.
Price for bar ends, handlebars and grips 400 Euro
