For me, wing grips have a touch of the touring cyclist image. But my ulnar nerve was crying out for a softer bed. So the new SQLab grips arrived at the office just in time.

In principle, the 711 SY model is suspiciously similar to its Ergon counterpart. The differences are in the details: the widened contact surface is slightly further out than the Ergon GS1 or GX1 and is slightly smaller. The neuralgic problem area of the hand, where the ulnar nerve runs, is nevertheless well relieved. The centre area of the grip is pleasantly soft. In general, the grips fit very well in the hand, even with a rough gait. Only the mounting of the clamping screws (Syntace) could disturb bikers who grip their grips far out. Weight: 138 grams (size M), price: 24.95.

TEST SUMMARY: therapeutically comfortable and yet grippy. Even in enduro use, the SQ-Lab 711 SY offer good grip. Highly recommended for problem hands.
