The YUMEYA series already caused a sensation when it was launched last autumn. The Japanese tuning kit will now be on sale at the beginning of April and will soon shine on the first bikes of XTR purists and lightweight construction enthusiasts. The complete YUMEYA programme comprises a total of 15 parts - from the chain guide plate to the brake line - which, in addition to weight savings and a unique look, also offers functional advantages. For example, the titanium bolts, which are available for the rear derailleur, front derailleur and brake levers, weigh around 40 per cent less than conventional stainless steel bolts. A molybdenum disulphide coating with 1,600 particles per square micrometre effectively prevents seizing, to which titanium screws are generally susceptible.
The titanium sprocket unit with 17 and 20 teeth also offers a weight advantage and scores points with its stylish, gold-coloured appearance. Although not lighter, the special YUMEYA brake line is 39 per cent more stable and is also available in a stylish white colour, as are the covers for the hydraulic reservoirs on the brake levers and the shift and guide rollers. Carbon chain guide plates, which are not only lighter but also stiffer, the titanium-coated hollow-pin chain, which is characterised by improved oil retention and therefore even less friction, or aluminium crank arm bolts in a sophisticated gold-silver look round off the range and make bikers' dreams come true - welcome to the "YUMEYA".
