Infinitely variable shifting without fixed gear specifications - this protects the "human motor" and increases its performance and endurance. With NuVinci's new N360 gear hub, this smart technology is now finally ready for practical use.

Compared to its predecessor model, manufacturer Fallbrook has been able to significantly improve the N360. It has become around 30 per cent lighter and now weighs 2500 grams. As a system, it is only around 700 grams heavier than an Alfine 11 drivetrain. With 360 per cent gear range and 0.5-fold lower and 1.8-fold gear ratios, it offers a range that is well suited to cycling. It therefore exceeds the values of Shimano's seven- and eight-speed hubs, for example. In addition, the shifting forces have been reduced by half. The continuously variable transmission now also works smoothly under load, which significantly supports the desired intuitive use.
