It consists of 248 individual parts, is lighter than an XX drivetrain and costs 1500 euros: the A-GE. Acros has bought up the 5Rot derailleur invented by Christoph Muthers and is now launching it on the market with a new design. The first pictures were shown at the Sea Otter Festival in America.
Instead of a cable, the A-GE uses a mineral oil-filled cable to transmit the shifting command from the lever to the front derailleur or rear derailleur. The shift lever, front derailleur and rear derailleur of the A-GE weigh no more than 368 grams in total. Top value, ahead of the SRAM XX.
You can find out how the gear system works and how it rides in the May issue of BIKE, which has been on newsstands since 8 April.
