Weighing over 3 kilos, the only steel suspension fork in the test is 300 grams heavier than specified by the manufacturer. Off-road, it impresses with its sensational response behaviour. Problem: the absolutely linear fork rushed through its travel far too quickly. Even at moderate speeds and medium-hard hits, it released a lot of travel and felt undefined. Even with the compression damping fully closed, it dipped low on steep
steep steps and completely bottomed out on waist-high drops with a flat landing. The influence of the HLR cartridge was far too small. Unfortunately, we didn't have a harder spring, but the sag was suitable at 20% with the spring supplied. We were disappointed with the fork.
