Headsets are the jewels on the bike. So small that they are almost overlooked. But at second glance, they fascinate the eye of the connoisseur, reflecting the love and attention to detail of the owners. However, we were less interested in the visual appeal than the inner values - and the question: Have brands such as Chris King or Race Face been resting on their cult status laurels for years? To find out, we analysed twelve headsets in terms of seals, bearings and construction. We found considerable differences.
