The fact that the "32 Talas RLC" is a great fork was already clear after the Fork test (05/08) clear. For continuous use, we quickly upgraded an all-mountain class bike from 120 to 140 millimetres of maximum travel. This is possible with the Fox fork. The lowering mechanism, the "Talas" system, adjusts the travel in three stages 100-120-140 to the rider's preference with a flick of the wrist. The adjustment is lightning-fast, the grip on the lever becomes second nature. So scrub the kilometres - fork down. Downhill (no matter how short) - maximum suspension travel. The lockout function, on the other hand, remained untouched with a few exceptions. During the 1,500 kilometres of touring you tend to simply forget about the fork, oil changes are only due after a year. And when it comes to maintenance, all you have to do is wipe down the stanchions. That's the way it should be.
