Whether the more favourable Rockshox suspension forks Yari and Revelationor the Pike and Lyrik fork models for enduro mountain bikers: all these Rockshox forks will get a new DebonAir air spring for the 2021 model year. But bikers with older models can also tune their Rockshox forks quickly and cheaply with a retrofit kit. The US company offers a complete DebonAir retrofit kit for forks up to 2018 for € 47. This allows older Revelation, Yari, Pike and Lyrik suspension forks to be upgraded. For the fork models from 2019 and 2020, you only need to replace the seal head and the bottom groove. The tuning kit is available for 29 euros.

Is the new DebonAir air spring backwards compatible?
Yes, the new air spring is backwards compatible with the previous generations of Lyrik and Yari as well as with the Pike and Revelation forks. There are two different air springs for the different fork chassis designs. You can also upgrade a 2020 air spring with just the foot nut and seal head upgrades instead of buying a complete DebonAir air spring for the fork.
