MTB suspension forks: 4 trail forks in comparison
These 120-millimetre forks are mainly found in sporty trail bikes. We put 4 suspension forks through their paces

The forks have noticeably more riding comfort and, above all, more reserves than the firmer cross-country forks on the following pages, while being tolerably heavier. In this category, everyone who wants their 100-millimetre marathon fully with more travel at the front will find what they are looking for. The MRP Ribbon for trail use is identical in construction to the MRP Enduro fork, but is limited to 120 millimetres of travel ex works. This explains the relatively high weight and the good stiffness values. Rockshox, on the other hand, uses its Sid cross-country fork as the basis for the sporty trail suspension. The Fox 34 SC fork is an independent design.

All data, overview tables and grades can be found in the complete suspension fork test, which is available as a PDF in the download area below:

You can find the complete comparison test including all data, points tables and the score overview in BIKE 11/2019. The comparison test costs € 1.99 as a PDF. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
You can read the entire digital edition in the BIKE app (iTunes and Google Play) or the print edition in the DK shop reorder - while stocks last:
