In terms of World Cup victories in recent years, the Rockshox Sid is the most successful cross-country fork - especially thanks to Nino Schurter's successes. Nevertheless, in this test it was narrowly beaten by the 32mm Fox, which has also recently won four World Cups on Mathieu van der Poel's bike. Second place is shared by Rockshox Sid and Lefty Ocho - both of which are heavier than the Fox despite their carbon shafts. The Lefty has been available without a double bridge since 2018 and can therefore be retrofitted to any bike. However, a special front wheel is required. As before, the Lefty impresses with maximum stiffness and remains an extravagant eye-catcher even with a single crown. All three models function at the highest level.
You can find the complete comparison test including all data, points tables and the score overview in BIKE 11/2019. The comparison test costs € 1.99 as a PDF. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
You can read the entire digital edition in the BIKE app (iTunes and Google Play) or the print edition in the DK shop reorder - while stocks last:
