Suspension forks have become indispensable on mountain bikes. Fox now also wants to convert road cyclists with a minimalist suspension fork. The Fox suspension for gravel bikes.

The new Gravel bikes are attracting more and more road cyclists to gravel roads or even easy trails. Fox wants to give these riders a little more comfort with the new 32 Adventure Cross (AX) suspension fork and is thus trying to establish suspension forks in the road bike sector.

Rather than developing a completely new model, the standard model was Fox 32 Step Cast fork from the cross-country sector has merely been modified. Compared to the mountain bike model, the suspension travel has been reduced from 100 to just 40 millimetres. Both the damping with the three different modes (CTD) and the air spring remain unchanged. So if you want, you can also lock your fork on a road bike.

The road bike suspension fork from Fox is only suitable for disc brakes and 15 millimetre thru axles and weighs approx. 1.4 kilos according to Fox.
