At 1650 grams, the all-mountain fork is a flyweight, even with 150 millimetres of travel.

At 1650 grams, the DT-Swiss "EXC 150" fights in the flyweight class of all-mountain forks. Hardly any other fork is as light with 150 millimetres of travel. The soft fork cuts an excellent figure on trails and marathons: damping and suspension harmonise very well, adjustment is child's play - until! Yes, until you want to lower the fork. This is done with a firm pull on the rebound adjustment knob. Fork lowered - great. Unfortunately, this knob has no detent or guide, so you have to adjust the rebound every time you lower the fork - annoying! The otherwise good fork would also benefit from a little more stiffness.
