There is no installation direction for the shock absorber. The proof is in the variety of different frame shapes, which have already placed the shock in every possible position. However, make sure that the shock fits into the frame in the desired installation direction. It is best to try this out beforehand, without spring or air pressure, otherwise you could end up with ugly dents in the frame. (Photo: Daniel Simon)
