As part of regular testing, Cannondale has identified a potential safety issue with the OPI stem/fork steerer from 2011 to 2015. All bikes with Lefty and OPI stem are affected.

All information on the recall can be found on the Cannondale website.

The Cannondale recall affects mountain bikes produced between 2011 and 2015 that are fitted with a Lefty fork with an OPI stem. Although the recall only affects the OPI steerer tube, you can recognise whether your bike is affected from the outside.

The affected bikes should no longer be ridden, as in the worst case the fork clamps or bolts can be damaged.

Customers with a bike with an OPI stem are asked to contact their nearest Cannondale dealer. The OPI stem and fork can be inspected for damage and the problem can be rectified.

Further information and a list of dealers can be found on the Cannondale website.
