Ever since "E.T" Vouilloz left his mark on BOS, the brand has been a legend. It's been some time since we rode the last BOS downhill fork, and that was a steel spring model.

We set the fork exactly in between: 180 PSI, both compression settings 12 clicks from fully closed and rebound 17 clicks from fully closed.

Together with the "Boxxer", the "Idylle RaRe" is the most torsionally stiff and yet light. The set-up guide is very detailed and clear. We opted for the middle ground between race and leisure tune and were completely thrilled. The BOS responds sensitively and shows a grip that only the Manitou "Dorado" can offer. At the same time, it feels more dynamic and precise, which is certainly also due to the greater steering precision. The compression management at high speeds is impressive - no matter what happens, the fork swallows all impacts with the same smooth composure, never hardens and yet always utilises the suspension travel perfectly. It remains stable in the mid-stroke and ensures maximum control. A dream.
