Flyer: Update for E-MTBs with new Bosch drive
[New video] In model year 2020, Swiss e-bike pioneer Flyer is strengthening its range of touring-orientated e-MTBs. The new Bosch motor and up to 1125 Wh should open up new touring horizons.

More range thanks to the optional dual battery with 1125 watt hours, more controllable power and less weight thanks to the new Bosch CX drive of the fourth generation. Swiss e-bike pioneer Flyer is reading the signs of the times and is focussing on range and accessibility with its new Bosch models for 2020. The centrepiece of the new e-MTB model range is the Uproc 3 touring fully and the Uproc 1 hardtail, as well as the Goroc 3 and Goroc 1 crossover models derived from them.

The Uproc1 hardtail offers a more affordable entry into the world of e-MTBs and comes with Shimano XT components, a Bosch motor and dual battery option. Focus on full-suspension touring bikes - new Bosch motors

If you're looking for an E-Enduro with maximum suspension travel and downhill bike performance, you've come to the wrong place with the new tourers from Flyer. Instead, the Swiss company is focussing on a balanced mix of sporty genes and plenty of comfort for long tours, integrating the battery into the frame and updating the equipment with the new Bosch motor, among other things. In addition, several Monkey Link interfaces are still offered, to which a standard lighting system, for example, can be quickly and practically attached and operated with power from the batteries in the frame. The highlight for long tours: In addition to the 625 watt-hour Powertube battery in the down tube, an optional 500 watt-hour add-on battery can be fitted to the down tube. This gives you up to 1125 watt hours without a spare battery in your rucksack!

For pure mountain bikers, the fully Uproc 3 (from 4999 euros) is the top candidate. It offers 140 millimetres of travel at the front, while at the rear the classic four-link suspension squeezes 130 millimetres of travel out of the shock. In terms of equipment, the "old" 11-speed Shimano XT and suspension from Fox as well as wheels from DT Swiss are used. The geometry is tour-orientated, but should also offer enough reserves for more demanding descents.

Between trekking and mountain bike: the Goroc family from Flyer

If you want to spend less money or are rarely out on the trails, the Uproc 1 (photo above, from € 3999) is also a reliable partner with a double battery option and 140-millimetre fork. The special thing about the new Goroc models from Flyer: The e-mountainbikes are also offered fully equipped with the same suspension travel, mudguards and pannier racks. The so-called Goroc models are also aimed at commuters, which is why the Gorocs are also available as S-pedelecs with support up to 45 km/h.
