Fazua Ride 50 Trail: Update for the Evation drivetrain
The Bavarian engine manufacturer is not only giving its brand image a new look. The Evation drive unit is also getting an update.

Fazua Ride 50 Trail is the name that e-mountain bikers in search of discreet support will have to look out for in future. In addition to a visual makeover, there are also technical changes.

Thanks to revised software, the drive is said to have a slight increase in power and now delivers a maximum of 58 Newton metres. Significantly more teeth in the freewheel are intended to create a faster power connection.

In addition, the cumbersome access to the USB port (two screws) has given way to a more practical cover that can be removed without tools. This makes it easier to update the system via computer.

For a while now, you no longer need to use the USB port to fine-tune the support levels, as the new Fazua app allows you to do this conveniently via your smartphone.

And: the overall package has become even lighter. Fazua claims a weight saving of six per cent.

Even on his very first tour, he focussed on single trails - and even after more than 30 years in the saddle of an MTB, these are still the quintessence of biking for him. He spent his youth competing in various bike disciplines and later his cycling career was characterised by years as a riding technique coach. Professionally, the experienced test editor now focusses on e-mountainbikes. In recent years, the qualified sports scientist and trained journalist has tested over 300 bikes and more than 40 different motor systems in the laboratory and in practice.
