Touch devices have become an integral part of the modern world. And anyone who has ever experienced the touch display on Bosch's new Nyon will agree.

As a faithful guide on a crossing of the Alps, the 3.2-inch colour display was exposed to the most adverse conditions. But whether in rain, mud, with or without gloves, the Nyon responds to touch like a training dog to its master's command. Readability and contrast were good at any time of day. Thanks to the clear screen, tours can be planned conveniently on the Nyon. The integration of Komoot is even better. If you connect your Komoot to the Bosch Connect portal with a few clicks of the mouse, you can access your own routes directly from the on-board computer. Also good: In addition to four predefined support levels, premium customers can freely configure four additional profiles via the app.

The only criticism is that the navigation on the Openstreetmap maps is somewhat imprecise. If two routes are close to each other, you can never be sure whether you are on the right track.

Price: 349 Euro

Florentin Vesenbeckh has been on a mountain bike since he was ten years old. Even on his very first tour, he focussed on single trails - and even after more than 30 years in the saddle of an MTB, these are still the quintessence of biking for him. He spent his youth competing in various bike disciplines and later his cycling career was characterised by years as a riding technique coach. Professionally, the experienced test editor now focusses on e-mountainbikes. In recent years, the qualified sports scientist and trained journalist has tested over 300 bikes and more than 40 different motor systems in the laboratory and in practice.
