The patent-pending SCS chain guide (Syntace Chainguide System) is said to be the world's first chain guide on the market that functions reliably in all 27 gears. Even when pedalling backwards.
Extremely smooth running
In addition, the low friction is said to be absolutely unrivalled, even when dry and especially when dirty. The chain guide is extremely quiet and low-friction thanks to a specially moulded track (pat. pend.) made from a special sliding polymer and a significantly larger chain deflection diameter than conventional deflection rollers.
Smart tracker
Thanks to its automatic tracking of the sliding block to the chain, the Syntace SCS patent should also reduce annoying chain slap even when the suspension is compressed further. As a result, it should be significantly quieter and more reliable than conventional chain guides, even with deep suspension strokes in rough terrain.
SCS sliding segment reverse in all (!) gears
Even repeated back-cranking should no longer derail the chain on the front chainrings with the Syntace Chainguide system. This is important when changing gears and changing feet (chocolate foot change) in technical terrain sections. Only the guiding power of the rear derailleur limits the rideability of even the most diagonal gears.
Touch down and drive on
The extremely robust underside made of special gliding plastic is designed to drastically reduce the sliding friction of the SCS even over rock edges (skidplate effect) and thus the risk of the chain guide breaking off. Thanks to its extremely flat design with 2-way anti-twist direct anchoring on the swingarm, the Syntace SCS should remain fully functional even after impacts of over 400 kg.
Scalable
By simply changing the sliding segment, the SCS guide can be converted to 2- or 3-way at any time and at low cost.
