Bike Ahead is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its distinctive Biturbo wheels with a first: for the first time, the six-spoke wheels are available in a special coloured edition. The Biturbo Edition 15 is available in the matt shades Frozen White and Frozen Bronze. Each of the three different models is limited to just 15 units per colour worldwide.

Ever since the launch of the first Biturbo wheels 15 years ago, Bike Ahead has favoured a distinctive design featuring six carbon spokes and an unpainted, exposed carbon finish. For the anniversary edition, the manufacturer is departing from this concept for the first time. According to Bike Ahead, the matt finishes in Frozen White and Frozen Bronze are intended to evoke frozen surfaces. The carbon structure remains visible in the company logo. The colour variants were selected by the company’s founder, Christian Gemperlein, and applied by a specialist bicycle painter. The anniversary edition comprises the Biturbo RSX for MTB use, the Biturbo Gravel Aero and the road model Biturbo Aero 2.0. All wheelsets continue to be handcrafted in Würzburg.

Conclusion

With their six-spoke design, the Bike Ahead Biturbo wheels are already incredibly striking. In their anniversary livery, they’re now an absolute head-turner. The limited-edition Biturbos are visually striking in a way that hardly any other set of wheels can match. Six-spoke design as a trademark

The distinctive six-spoke design was originally created as a final-year project by Bike-Ahead founder Christian Gemperlein. What began as a one-off piece evolved into a complete range of wheelsets, which today ranks among the best-known carbon wheelsets in the high-end segment. The monocoque construction allows the carbon lay-up to be tailored to different loads. This is designed to combine high lateral stiffness with riding comfort. It takes around two days to produce a wheel. The Biturbo Edition 15, limited to 15 units per colour and model, is now available via the Bike-Ahead webshop and authorised specialist retailers.
