For the Red Bull District Ride 2022, Nuremberg's Old Town will be transformed into a mountain bike slopestyle course on 2/3 September. Here's the latest information on the event programme, the live broadcast and the Best Trick Contest.

Timetable for the District Ride 2022

The Red Bull District Ride starts on Friday evening with the Best Trick Contest, in which not only the 15 District Ride starters but also Diego Caverzasi (ITA), Nico Scholze (GER), Alejandro Bonafe (ESP) and Tom Isted (GBR). With spectacular jumps and tricks on their slopestyle bikes, the competition on the main square in Nuremberg's Old Town should provide a foretaste of the day ahead. The mode: The riders can tackle the Big Air Jump as many times as they want in one hour. The best trick will be judged and the best five riders will receive prize money.

On Saturday, 3 September, the District Ride reaches its climax with the Slopestyle Contest. The 15 best mountain bike acrobats in the world show off their skills and spectacular tricks on the 700 metre-long course from the Kaiserburg to the main market, which Slopestyle legend Aaron Chase has built. The slopestyle contest starts at 14:30.

Where can I follow the District Ride as a spectator on site?

As a spectator on site, you enjoy free entry and have the opportunity to position yourself in the spectator areas along the entire course in Nuremberg's historic city centre. Three large video screens will keep visitors up to date at all times.

The largest spectator area, the Big Air District on Nuremberg's main market square, traditionally attracts the most spectators. This is where the riders finish their runs and there are expo stands from various District Ride partners. As thousands of spectators are expected, we recommend travelling to the Old Town on foot, by bike or by underground.

Women's event as part of the District Ride

At the Red Bull District Ride 2022, not only the best riders but also some female slopestyle mountain bikers will be riding between the Kaiserburg and the main market for the first time. But without any competition pressure. The quintet that will be training and trialling on the city course on Friday and Saturday are Patricia Druwen (GER), Caroline Buchanan (AUS), Kathi Kuypers (GER), Gemma Corbera (ESP) and Ellie Chew (NZL).

The so-called "Progression Session" gives the five riders the opportunity to put their skills to the test on what is probably the most spectacular slopestyle course in the world and train with the best riders in the world. Over the two days, the five women can tackle the various jumps, ramps and drops and try out what is possible at their own pace.
