It is best to use the same oil as Marzocchi. However, engine oil also works without any problems. Make sure that you use special low-friction oil. Oil behaves in a similar way to honey: viscous when cold, thin when it gets warm. You can recognise these low-viscosity oils by the designation on the packaging: it usually says "SAE 5W40" The smaller the first number, the thinner the oil flows in the cold and the larger the second, the better it resists heat. Heat resistance is of no interest for suspension forks. That's why we always leave out the second number. Marzocchi uses SAE 7.5 oil in all forks. You can buy the oil at petrol stations or in garages and accessory shops for little money. If you can't find SAE 7.5 oil, you can simply mix SAE 5 and SAE 10 oil in a 1:1 ratio. Make sure you use exactly the same oil from the same manufacturer.
