When water alone is no longer enough, you have to resort to harsher means. BIKE editor Stefan Frey used practical, liquid-coloured cleaning devils to clean the mud off his bike.

A person in Germany uses 5.08 litres of water per day for cleaning, including their bike and home. Cleaning products should help to minimise water consumption as effectively as possible.
