In BIKE 12/07, p. 129, we wrote about penetrating oils as part of the "Bike care" workshop: "They should not be used on suspension forks and shock absorbers." A product from Brunox, the "Deo", is shown here. We have made a mistake here. The Brunox "Turbo Spray" should have been shown here. The Brunox "Deo" has been developed by the manufacturer explicitly for use with suspension forks in co-operation with Rock Shox. It is intended to guarantee the functionality and service life of the suspension fork by keeping the seals supple. This allows the seals to work better and keep dirt out. It should also be suitable for the care of damper joints and adjustment knobs.

The Brunox "Deo" has been developed by the manufacturer explicitly for use with suspension forks in co-operation with Rock Shox.
It is intended to guarantee the functionality and service life of the suspension fork by keeping the seals supple. This allows the seals to work better and keep dirt out. It is also suitable for the care of damper joints and adjustment knobs.
Application: A little Brunox "Deo" is sprayed onto the cleaned sealing rings between the dip tube and the stanchion tube before and after each ride. Then briefly compress the fork several times.
Properties of the "Turbo Spray" from Brunox:
The "Turbo-Spray" can be used as:
- Lubricant
- Corrosion protection
- Contact spray
- penetrating oil
- Cleaning spray
The "Turbo Spray" is characterised by its lubricating, penetrating and anti-corrosion effect. It is said to be extremely environmentally friendly, contains no silicone, Teflon or graphite and only three per cent CO2 as a propellant.

The "Turbo Spray" can be used as: Lubricant, corrosion protection, contact spray, penetrating oil, cleaning spray

Application:
After a short exposure time, organic and mineral dirt such as tar, earth, manure, brake dust and adhesive residues are dissolved.
Preservation should be carried out after every ride in the rain and after every wheel wash. Spray the damp wheel briefly so that the residual water can roll off quickly. Due to its high capillary effect, BRUNOX "Turbo Spray" penetrates into the smallest cracks and pores and reliably displaces all water and moisture residues.
This preservation is designed to achieve a fivefold effect:
- Water displacement,
- corrosion protection,
- lubrication,
- formation of a dirt-repellent protective layer
- the simultaneous application of a polish.
