Bad weather lubricant from Ballistol
In the last BIKE test, Ballistol BikerCer only achieved average lubrication values. The new Bike-X-Lube is now supposed to be the ultimate bad weather protection with maximum lubricity.

A lot helps a lot, no matter what it's about? Not quite. When it comes to chain spray - especially in the extreme conditions of winter - it's the quality and not just the quantity that counts. In our last big lubricant test in BIKE 4/16 revealed clear differences in the oils, waxes and dry lubricants tested.

Ballistol Bike-X-Lube

The Ballistol Bike-X-Lube is designed to lubricate the chain, cassette and sprockets and protect them from snow and road salt. According to Ballistol, even high humidity is no problem for the X-Lube spray, as the Bike-X-Lube is lubricating and creeps easily. It is also said to protect against rust and act as a contact spray for electrical connections. The lubricant is designed to protect against flash rust, corrosion and tarnishing and is suitable for cleaning and removing grease, tar, flash rust and resin. It also contains no silicone or PTFE additives. The price is 7.50 euros for 100 millilitres.
