The Stadler BIKE Academy went on tour for the second time. From April to September, our roadshow could be seen at 11 locations in Germany. Almost 600 of you took part in our workshops and riding technique training sessions for MTB and E-MTB. It was great!

What could be better than spending an afternoon wrenching on your bike or riding around on it? Add to that good food and like-minded people... and you might have been at the BIKE Academy 2024. For the second time, our roadshow took place at 11 Stadler bike shop locations in Germany. Between 26.04. and 07.09. we were on the road and guests at Stadler.

With our green tents and a hands-on programme, we welcomed a total of almost 600 participants to our mechanic workshops and riding technique training sessions. They talked shop, scrubbed, tinkered, tinkered and had a lot of fun.

There were even more BIKE events this year:

In addition to Stadler, the Zugspitze region was there as a tourism partner at three locations (Frankfurt, Filderstadt and Berlin), presenting its holiday region and treating participants and guests to culinary delights from Upper Bavaria.

How do you like this article?

It wasn't just the event, which you could take part in with friends or family, that was appealing. It was also the low participation fee of 9 euros including a voucher for a meal and drink. The Stadler BIKE Academy 2024 offered three opportunities to engage with the topic of cycling:

Workshop - Bike maintenance and most common repairs

To experience the full potential of a mountain bike, you need to keep it in top condition! In our workshop on bike care and repairs, participants learnt everything they need to know to clean and maintain their own bikes independently.

Do It Yourself Workshop - Screwing under the guidance of a professional

At the DIY repair workshop, even we went one step further: Here, the newly learnt knowledge from the bike care workshop was applied to our own bikes. Whether it's flat tyres, worn brakes or a misaligned gear shift - many things can be easily repaired on your own. Our expert mechanics were on hand to help - and the right spare parts were available on site at the Stadler branch.

Driving technique: Training

Anyone who wanted to improve their technique and sharpen up their bike handling skills could do so on our obstacle track. Our riding technique trainers gave tips on how to master drops, ramps and bridges, for example. The obstacles had different levels of difficulty. During the free training times without experts, the obstacle track was still freely available.

As a partner of the Stadler BIKE Academy, Scott provided a Scott mountain bike fully as a test bike for the riding technique training. A Bulls E-MTB was available for the EMTB riding technique training. Of course, everyone could also take part in the training on their own bike.

During the EMTB riding technique training, the experts focussed on the special features of e-bikes. Here too, the aim was to improve riding skills and learn the special handling of an e-bike.

The participation fee for the riding technique training was only 3 euros including the test bike and the voucher for food and drink.
