Registration for the unique Ghost BIKE Cross Country Youth Camp is open! ! From 23 to 26 October 2025, BIKE will bring together talented young racers and the experts from Ghost in Sankt Englmar in the Bavarian Forest. The group accommodation will once again be dedicated to youth development.
At the 22nd edition of the youth camp, children and young people will once again have the opportunity to get up close to their idols, bike with them and ask all the questions they have always wanted to ask a professional athlete.
From riding and bike technique to training theory and a career in racing - a total of 55 young talents aged between ten and 18 will be given the unique opportunity to learn all about the cross-country business. Training, learning and having lots of fun together with friends and some of the best XC racers in the world - that's what the Ghost BIKE Cross Country Youth Camp 2025 is all about.
The world's only cross-country World Cup team consisting exclusively of female riders is called the Ghost Factory Racing Team. Once again this year, the five professional women will be offering workshops, organising group rides and signing autographs at the Ghost BIKE Cross Country Youth Camp.
A team of idols of this quality rarely comes alone. The original Ghost World Cup truck will also arrive at the BWAZ Lunaris in Sankt Englmar in 2025. Also on board: Ghost's junior racing team. In addition to the pros, experienced coaches from the team will also be there.
Team manager Thomas Wickles ensures that everything runs smoothly and is the ideal contact person for the young talents in all matters relating to the race team. Also on board: the World Cup team's original mechanics and riding technique trainers.
This year, the former professional cyclist and Bavarian state coach for mountain bikes, Erik Becker, will once again be on site to supervise the children. BIKE editor Jan Timmermann will also be present to give an insight into the creation of a BIKE magazine and the most important aspects of product testing. A special highlight will be the final race on Sunday, where the young talents will have the opportunity to show off the new skills they have learnt from the pros.
The Ghost BIKE Cross Country Youth Camp has been held at the BayerWaldAktivZentrum (BWAZ) in Sankt Englmar for many years. The surrounding forests and mountains offer a variety of trails, descents and climbs that are perfect for young bikers of all ages. There are also technical trails and a pump track, which offer further opportunities for riding technique training. Each day begins directly behind the group accommodation on the sports field with a session of morning exercise. Thanks to full board, the young bikers' hunger is always reliably satisfied.
Also BIKE Magazine's own junior team will be on site at the Ghost BIKE Cross Country Youth Camp 2025. This will give the participants the opportunity to get to know another fast racing team. The small age difference should lower the inhibition threshold when it comes to asking a German cross-country mountain bike champion burning questions, for example.
