Trek Supercaliber 9.8

The "Supercaliber 9.8" model from "Trek", released in 2023, is a state-of-the-art mountain bike characterised by its advanced design and high-quality components. The price for this model is 8,199 EUR. The frame is made from OCLV Mountain Carbon and features IsoStrut technology, a tapered head tube, Knock Block and internal Control Freak cable routing. The frame is Boost148-compatible and offers 60 mm of suspension travel. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg.

The braking system comprises SRAM Level TLM hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, with SRAM Centerline discs (6-hole, rounded edge). The front brake disc has a diameter of 160 mm, whilst the rear disc also measures 160 mm. The drivetrain is controlled by the SRAM GX Eagle AXS, a 12-speed system. The fork is a RockShox SID SL with DebonAir suspension, a Rush RL damper, 44 mm offset and Boost110. It offers 100 mm of travel and is secured by a 15 mm Maxle Stealth axle.

The crankset consists of an SRAM GX Eagle Carbon with an aluminium chainring (32 teeth) and a 52 mm chainline. The crank arm length is 175 mm. The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB with a 92 mm PressFit bearing. The cassette is a SRAM Eagle XG-1275 with a range of 10–52 teeth, also in a 12-speed system.

The cockpit comprises a Bontrager RSL handlebar with an integrated OCLV Carbon stem unit, without rise, 750 mm wide, and a stem with a -13-degree rise and a length of 90 mm. The grips are ESI Chunky. The headset is integrated and features Knock Block technology as well as cartridge bearings (1 1/8" top, 1.5" bottom).

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Kovee Pro 30 carbon rims, which are tubeless-ready and have a 6-hole disc mount. The front hub is Boost 110 with a 15 mm thru-axle, whilst the rear hub is Boost 148 with a 12 mm thru-axle. The freehub body is an SRAM XD.

The saddle is a Bontrager Verse Elite with austenitic rails and a width of 145 mm. The seatpost is a Bontrager Pro made from OCLV carbon, with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 400 mm.

The bike’s geometry comprises the following measurements: Reach is 48 mm, stack 61 mm, seat tube length 51 mm, top tube length 66 mm, head tube angle 69 degrees, seat tube angle 71 degrees, head tube length 10 mm, chainstay length 43 mm, dropout height 79 mm and the wheelbase measures 117 mm.
