Trek FX Sport 5

The 2024 "FX Sport 5" model from Trek is a high-quality fitness bike, available for 2299 EUR. The frame is made from 400 Series OCLV Carbon and features internal cable routing, a 3S chain guide and DuoTrap S compatibility. Mudguard eyelets and a flat-mount disc brake mount are also included. The ThruSkew axle measures 135 x 5 mm at the rear. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with MT201 brake levers and UR300 calipers at both the front and rear. The brake discs are Shimano RT10 with Centre Lock mounting and have a diameter of 160 mm. Gear changes are controlled by an 11-speed Shimano RS700 shifter, and the drivetrain uses a Shimano 105 HG601 chain.

The fork is also made of carbon and features concealed mudguard eyelets as well as a flat-mount disc brake mount. The front axle is a 5 x 100 mm ThruSkew. The bike is fitted with VPE-993T pedals, and the crankset is a Shimano GRX RX600 with 40 teeth and a crank arm length of 175 mm. The cassette is a Shimano SLX M7000 with a range of 11–42 teeth.

The handlebars are aluminium Bontrager Satellite Plus IsoZone, 660 mm wide with a 15 mm rise. The grips are ergonomically designed and feature a screw-on clamp. The stem is a Bontrager Elite with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm; it is Blendr-compatible and has a length of 100 mm with a 7-degree angle.

The tyres are Bontrager GR1 Expert, measuring 700 x 40 mm. The wheelset consists of Bontrager aluminium hubs and Bontrager Paradigm Comp rims, which are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 21 mm. The quick-release axles are made of aluminium: a Formula CL-51 (100 x 5 mm) at the front and a Formula CL-52 (135 x 5 mm) at the rear.

The saddle is a Bontrager Montrose Comp with steel rails and a width of 138 mm. The seatpost is made from Bontrager Comp 6061 aluminium, has a diameter of 27.2 mm, an offset of 8 mm and a length of 330 mm.

The packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 119 mm high and 189 mm long. Further geometric data for the bike include a reach of 39 mm, a stack of 59 mm, a seat tube length of 46 mm and a top tube length of 56 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees, whilst the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. The head tube length is 16 mm, the chainstay length is 44 mm, the standover height is 79 mm and the wheelbase is 106 mm in total.
