Trek Fetch+ 4

Trek’s “Fetch+ 4” model from 2024 is a state-of-the-art e-bike designed for a wide range of uses. Priced at EUR 6,999, it sits in the upper price bracket and, in return, offers impressive features and technical specifications.

The Fetch+ 4’s frame is made from high-performance aluminium with hydroformed tubes and a low-step design that makes it easy to mount. The removable integrated battery ensures a seamless look and ease of use. The internal cable routing also contributes to a tidy appearance, whilst the Armor motor and post-mount disc brake mounts provide additional robustness and safety. The thru-axle measures 148 x 12 mm, which contributes to the bike’s stability. The maximum load capacity is 250 kg, whilst the bike’s own weight is 75 kg.

The Fetch+ 4’s braking system consists of Tektro Wave disc brakes with 6-hole rotors, fitted at the front and rear in sizes of 180 mm and 203 mm respectively. The bike is fitted with an Enviolo Pro manual twist shifter with a display, which allows for precise and easy gear selection.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour Mobie A32 with 50 mm of travel, ensuring comfort on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by a Herrmans MR8 front light with 180 lumens and 60 lux, as well as a Trelock LS614 headlight with a brake light, ensuring good visibility and safety on the road.

Other features include Bontrager City pedals, a ProWheel aluminium crankset with 170 mm crank arms, and a Gates CDX steel sprocket with 22 teeth. Power is transmitted via a Gates CDX drive belt, which is renowned for its durability and ease of maintenance.

The handlebars are made of aluminium with a 31.8 mm clamp, a 25 mm rise and a width of 630 mm. The grips are Bontrager Satellite Elite with aluminium clamps, whilst the stem is also made of aluminium and has a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm, an angle of 35 degrees and a length of 90 mm. The headset is an integrated FSA headset with sealed cartridge bearings.

The tyres are Schwalbe Pick-Up models with Addix E-Compound and ECE-R75 approval, in sizes 20x2.15'' at the front and Super Defence Carcass Construction in size 60-584 at the rear. The wheelsets consist of 32-hole aluminium hollow-section rims.

The saddle is a Bontrager Boulevard model, mounted on a TranzX JD-YSP28PLQ seatpost with 200 mm travel and internal cable routing. Mudguards and a centre stand are also included.

The Fetch+ 4 is powered by a Bosch Performance Line Cargo motor with Smart System and a magnesium motor housing, delivering a torque of 85 Nm. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 750 Wh, also part of the Smart System. The display is a Bosch BSP3200 SmartPhone Grip; the battery is charged using a standard Bosch charger rated at 4 A and 230 V.

The packaging dimensions are 75 mm wide, 130 mm high and 275 mm long. Further geometric data include a reach of 39 mm, a stack of 89 mm, a seat tube length of 45 mm, a seat tube angle of 68 degrees, a chainstay length of 49 mm, a standover height of 45 mm and a wheelbase of 202 mm.
