Trek Allant+ 9S

The 2021 Trek Allant+ 9S is a high-performance e-bike which, at a price of 5,299 EUR, is positioned in the premium segment. The frame is made from hydroformed aluminium and seamlessly integrates the battery, which not only looks great but also protects the battery and optimises internal cable routing. The frame is also fitted with a Motor Armor system, which protects the motor from external influences. The bike’s maximum permissible weight is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 23 kg.

For its braking system, the Allant+ 9S features high-quality Magura MT5NE and MT4NE hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes with brake light switches, fitted to both the front and rear. These brakes offer excellent stopping power and safety at all speeds. The fork is an SR Suntour Mobie25 with 45 mm of travel and adjustable preload and rebound damping, which ensures added comfort.

The bike is fitted with a Spanninga Axendo Speed front light, which ensures good visibility. The Bontrager City pedals and the aluminium ProWheel crankset, with 170 mm crank arms and a 46-tooth chainring, provide efficient power transfer. Power is transmitted via a Gates CDX drive belt with 128 teeth, which is renowned for its durability and low-maintenance nature.

The handlebars are made of aluminium and are 690 mm wide with an 11-degree bend. The grips are Bontrager Satellite Elite with aluminium clamps, which provide a secure grip. The stem is a Bontrager Comp, which is Blendr-compatible and has a length of 70 mm and an angle of 7 degrees. The saddle is a Bontrager Commuter Comp, mounted on a suspension aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm.

The bike is fitted with Bontrager E6 Hard-Case Lite tyres, which are reflective and measure 27.5 x 2.4 inches. The wheelsets consist of Alex MD35 rims, which are tubeless-compatible and 35 mm wide. The rear hub is a continuously variable Enviolo Trekking CVT rear hub with a gear ratio range of 380 per cent.

The Allant+ 9S is powered by a Bosch Performance Speed motor with 85 Nm of torque, which assists up to speeds of 45 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a standard 4A Bosch charger. The display is a Bosch Kiox with anti-theft protection.

Additional features include Eurofender Duo mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and a Racktime Lightit luggage rack. The packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 119 mm high and 189 mm long.
