Trek Allant+ 9 Lowstep

The "Allant+ 9 Lowstep" model from Trek, released in 2024, is a versatile e-bike that stands out thanks to a range of high-quality technical features. The aluminium frame offers a sturdy and durable construction capable of supporting a maximum load of 136 kg. The bike’s total weight is 26 kg, making it a robust yet manoeuvrable ride.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano RT56 brakes at the front and rear, featuring a 6-hole disc mount and a diameter of 180 mm. These disc brakes deliver reliable stopping power in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are controlled via an Enviolo Pure manual twist shifter with a display, which enables seamless and intuitive gear selection.

Suspension is provided by an SR Suntour XCR32 fork with a steel spring, adjustable spring preload, lockout and 60 mm of travel. This contributes to a comfortable ride across a wide variety of terrain. The front lighting comprises a Spanninga SOLO for e-bikes and a Herrmans H-Black MR8-E LED headlight, which ensures good visibility with 180 lumens and 60 lux.

The Bontrager City pedals and the aluminium ProWheel crankset with a crank arm length of 175 mm offer efficient power transfer. Power is transmitted via the Gates CDX system with a 22-tooth steel sprocket, ensuring durability and low maintenance.

The handlebars are aluminium low-risers with a width of 690 mm, a rise of 25 mm and a bend of 11 degrees. The grips are Bontrager Satellite Elite with aluminium clamps, ensuring comfort and control. The stem is also made of aluminium, is adjustable and Blendr-compatible, with a length of 105 mm.

Further features include the integrated FSA headset with sealed cartridge bearings, Bontrager E6 Hard-Case Lite tyres in size 27.5" x 2.40" with reflective strips, and a Bontrager Line TLR 30 wheelset, which is tubeless-ready. The saddle is a Bontrager Commuter Comp, mounted on a suspension aluminium seatpost 300 mm in length.

The e-bike is also fitted with SKS plastic mudguards at the front and rear, as well as a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand. The MIK-compatible aluminium rear rack has a maximum load capacity of 25 kg.

The Allant+ 9 Lowstep is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor with Smart System and a magnesium motor housing, delivering a torque of 85 Nm. The battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a standard 4 A Bosch charger. The Bosch Intuvia 100 display shows all relevant information.

The model is available at a price of 4,999 EUR. The packaging measures 23 mm in width, 119 mm in height and 201 mm in length. With dimensions including a reach of 40 mm, a stack of 66 mm, a seat tube length of 49 mm and a wheelbase of 115 mm, the Allant+ 9 Lowstep offers a comfortable geometry for the rider.
