Trek Allant+ 9.9S

The 2021 "Allant+ 9.9S" model from Trek is a high-quality e-bike, available for €6,999. The frame is made from OCLV carbon and features a removable integrated battery (RIB). The frame is also Range Boost-compatible and fitted with a Motor Armor. The internal cable routing, the Post Mount disc brake mounts and the 12 mm thru-axle round off the high-quality build. The bike’s maximum permissible weight is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 18 kg.

The Allant+ 9.9S’s braking system consists of Magura MT5E or MT5N 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with a brake light switch. Both brake types are fitted with 180 mm rotors. The gear lever is a Shimano XT M8100 with 12 speeds, ensuring precise gear changes. The model’s carbon fork features a 1 1/8" carbon steerer tube and a 100 x 15 mm thru-axle with a post-mount disc brake mount.

The Supernova M99 Pure+ front light, with 1,100 lumens and a daytime running light, ensures optimum visibility, whilst the rear light is also from Supernova. The pedals are either Bontrager City pedals or Wellgo C157s with a Bor axle and plastic body; alternatively, non-slip aluminium pedals with reflectors are also available. The crankset is made from ProWheel aluminium with a crank arm length of 175 mm, a 46-tooth chainring and an aluminium chain guard.

The e-bike’s drivetrain comprises a Shimano SLX M7100 cassette (10–45, 12-speed) and a Shimano SLX M7100 rear derailleur (12-speed). The handlebars are Bontrager Pro Lowriser carbon handlebars, 690 mm wide with a 15 mm rise. The grips are Bontrager Satellite Elite with aluminium clamps. The stem is made of forged aluminium and features integrated cable management, whilst the headset consists of sealed cartridge bearings.

The tyres are Bontrager E6 Hard-Case Lite with a reflective steel bead, a TPI of 60 and dimensions of 27.5 x 2.4. The wheelset consists of Alex MD35 rims, which are tubeless-compatible, and Shimano Deore XT hubs with Centre Lock disc mounts and thru-axles (15 mm at the front, 12 mm at the rear). The saddle is a Bontrager Commuter Comp, mounted on a Bontrager aluminium seatpost with a 12 mm offset and a length of 400 mm.

In addition, the e-bike features aluminium mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and an integrated aluminium rear luggage rack. The motor is a Bosch Performance Speed with a torque of 85 Nm and a top speed of 45 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 625 Wh, and the display is a Bosch Kiox with anti-theft protection. The battery is charged using a Bosch standard charger (4A, 220–240 V).

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 41 mm, a stack of 63 mm, a seat tube length of 55 mm, a top tube length of 60 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees, a head tube length of 18 mm, a chainstay length of 47 mm, a standover height of 82 mm and a wheelbase of 113 mm. The model is supplied in packaging measuring 21 mm in width, 119 mm in height and 189 mm in length.
