Trek Allant+ 8S Stagger

The 2023 "Allant+ 8S Stagger" model from Trek is a high-quality e-bike designed for discerning riders. The price for this model is 4,599 EUR. The bike features a high-performance aluminium frame with hydroformed tubes, offering a removable integrated battery (Removable Integrated Battery) and compatibility with Range Boost. The frame is also fitted with internal cable routing, Motor Armor and a post-mount disc brake mount, and uses a 135 x 5 mm quick-release axle. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst its kerb weight is 22 kg.

The braking system comprises front and rear hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes from Magura (MT5NE and MT4NE respectively) with a brake light switch and a 180 mm brake disc, which are specifically designed for speed pedelecs. The gear lever is a Shimano Deore M4100 with 10 speeds. The fork is made of aluminium and features a 1 1/8" steel steerer tube and a 100 x 15 mm thru-axle.

Lighting is provided by the Spanninga Axendo Speed front light. The pedals are Bontrager City pedals, which are non-slip and fitted with reflectors. The crankset is made of aluminium with a crank arm length of 175 mm, a 46-tooth chainring and an aluminium chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano Deore M4100 with 11–42 teeth and is also a 10-speed system.

The bike is fitted with a KMC X10e drivetrain. The handlebars are aluminium low-riser bars, 690 mm wide, with a 25 mm rise and an 11-degree bend. The grips are Bontrager Satellite Elite with aluminium clamps. The stem is the Bontrager Comp, Blendr-compatible, with a diameter of 31.8 mm, an angle of 7 degrees and a length of 90 mm.

The headset is an FSA IS-2 with an integrated, sealed compact bearing. The tyres are Bontrager E6 Hard-Case Lite, reflective and with a wire bead, in size 27.5 x 2.4 inches. The wheelset consists of Alex MD35 rims, which are tubeless-compatible, and Bontrager hubs with sealed bearings.

The saddle is the Bontrager Commuter Comp, mounted on a Bontrager Comp seatpost made from 6061 aluminium with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 330 mm. The saddle is secured using a bolt-on clamp with a diameter of 36.4 mm.

Additional features include aluminium mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and an integrated aluminium rear rack. The motor is a Bosch Performance Speed with a torque of 85 Nm and a maximum speed of 45 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 625 Wh, which is charged using the standard Bosch charger (4A). The display is a Bosch Kiox with anti-theft protection.

The bike’s geometry has the following dimensions: reach is 41 mm, stack is 65 mm, seat tube length is 49 mm, top tube length is 61 mm, head tube angle is 70 degrees, seat tube angle is 73 degrees, head tube length is 20 mm, chainstay length is 49 mm, standover height is 76 mm and the wheelbase is 115 mm.
