Trek Allant+ 7 Lowstep

The 2022 "Allant+ 7 Lowstep" model from Trek offers an impressive combination of performance, comfort and style at a price of 3,799 EUR. The frame is made from Alpha Smooth aluminium and features a removable integrated battery, internal cable routing, Motor Armor and a Post Mount disc brake mount. The maximum permissible weight is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 21 kg.

The braking system consists of Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, each fitted with 180 mm Shimano RT26 brake discs with a 6-hole mounting pattern. Gear shifting is handled by a Shimano Alivio M3100 9-speed shifter, which works in conjunction with a Shimano HG200 cassette (11–36, 9-speed) and a KMC E9S drivetrain.

The SR Suntour Mobie 25 fork features a steel spring with lockout and adjustable spring preload, as well as a tapered aluminium steerer tube and a 15 x 100 mm thru-axle with 45 mm of travel. Safety on the road is ensured by the Herrmans MR8e front light, with 180 lumens and 60 lux, and the AXA Blueline rear light.

The bike is fitted with VP-857 pedals, a ProWheel aluminium crankset with 170 mm crank arm length and a ProWheel chainring (40 teeth, narrow/wide, steel). The handlebars are aluminium low-riser bars measuring 31.8 mm in diameter, with a 25 mm rise, an 11-degree bend and a width of 660 mm. The ergonomic grips are from Bontrager Satellite Plus.

The adjustable stem is made of aluminium and has a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm and a length of 85 mm. The integrated FSA headset features sealed cartridge bearings. The tyres are Schwalbe G-One in size 650B x 57C, fitted to Alex MD35 rims with 32 holes and an inner width of 35 mm.

The saddle is a Bontrager Commuter Comp, fitted to a Bontrager aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 330 mm. Other features include Eurofender Duo mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and a Racktime Lightit luggage rack.

Power is provided by a Bosch Performance CX motor with a magnesium housing, an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm. Assistance is available up to a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 500 Wh, which is charged using the standard Bosch charger (4A, 220–240 V). The display is a Bosch Purion.

The bike’s geometry features a reach of 40 mm, a stack of 63 mm, a seat tube length of 45 mm, a top tube length of 59 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees, a head tube length of 18 mm, a chainstay length of 49 mm, a standover height of 48 mm and a wheelbase of 114 mm.

When packed, the bike measures: 23 mm wide, 119 mm high and 201 mm long.
