Stevens Strada 800 Tour

The “Strada 800 Tour” model from Stevens, released in 2024, is a versatile, high-specification bicycle suitable for both urban use and longer tours. The frame is made from 6061 TB aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. Weighing 12 kg and with a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, the bike offers a good balance between stability and lightness.

The Strada 800 Tour’s braking system is fitted with Shimano components. Shimano BR-UR300 brakes are fitted at the front and rear, combined with Shimano SM-RT30 brake discs, each measuring 160 mm. The brake levers are Shimano BL-MT201, ensuring reliable and precise braking performance.

The bike’s gear system is also of high quality. It is a 22-speed system from Shimano CUES U6000 Shadow RD-U6020-11 SGS. The shift levers are the Shimano CUES U6000 SL-U6000-L on the left and the Shimano CUES U6000 SL-U6000-11R on the right, whilst the front derailleur is the Shimano CUES U6000 FD-U6010-LM3. This combination provides a wide gear range and smooth gear changes.

The fork is made from STEVENS S-Lite aluminium, which further contributes to the bike’s overall stability. Lighting is provided by the Supernova E3 Pure 3 front light and the B+M Xeltec rear light, which are powered by a Shimano DH-UR705-3D dynamo. This equipment ensures optimum visibility and safety when cycling at dusk or at night.

Other features include ATB Pro Reflex pedals, a Pressfit BB86 bottom bracket and a Shimano CUES U6000 crankset with 46-32 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-LG400-11, 11-speed. The handlebars and stem are both from Oxygen Scorpo, as is the seatpost. The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Sport, which offers a high level of comfort.

The rims are Oxygen RM-R21 Disc, measuring 21 x 622 at both the front and rear. The tyres are Continental Contact Urban, size 35-622, which are known for their good grip and durability. The front hub is a Shimano DH-UR705-3D and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-RS470.

The bike is rounded off with SKS mudguards, which protect against splashes and thus ensure a clean ride even in bad weather. The price for the Strada 800 Tour is 1599 EUR, which represents good value for money given the high-quality specification.
