Stevens Savoie Gent

The “Savoie Gent” model from Stevens, launched in 2020, is a versatile trekking bike that stands out for its robust features and reliable technology. It is available for €899. The frame is made from high-quality 6061 DB aluminium, giving the bike a sturdy yet lightweight construction. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike’s own weight is 15 kg.

For the brakes and brake levers, Stevens relies on the tried-and-tested Shimano BR-MT200 and BL-MT200 series, which ensure reliable braking performance. The rear derailleur is a Shimano Deore Shadow RD-M592-SGS with a 3x9-speed drivetrain, controlled by Shimano Alivio SL-M4000 shift levers. The front derailleur is the Shimano Alivio Trekking FD-T4000-TSM3, which also contributes to precise gear changes.

The SR Suntour NCX-D LO fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures comfort on uneven terrain. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a B+M IQ Avy T Senso+ front light (40 lux) and a Toplight 2C+ rear light, both powered by a Shimano DH-3D37 dynamo.

The bottom bracket is a BSA 68 mm model, whilst the crankset consists of a Shimano FC-T3010 with 48-36-26 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG400, 9-speed. The handlebars and stem are from the Oxygen Driver series, with the handlebars measuring 660 mm in width. The headset is a STEVENS AH 1 1/8".

The rims are Oxygen PRO-D A19, 19 x 622, combined with Schwalbe Citizen Active-Line tyres in size 42-622. The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-TX505-8 model. The saddle is a Selle Royal Freccia Gent, mounted on an Oxygen aluminium seatpost.

Additional features include SKS mudguards, a Pletscher Comp kickstand and a Racktime luggage rack, which make the bike a practical everyday companion.
