Stevens Furious 24"

The “Furious 24” model from the “Stevens” brand, released in 2020, is a versatile and robust bicycle available at a price of 599 EUR. The frame is made from high-quality 6061 aluminium, which gives the bike both stability and a low weight of 14 kg. The maximum rider weight is 115 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of riders.

The brakes and brake levers on the Furious 24” are both from Shimano – specifically the BR-MT200 and BL-MT200 models – which guarantee reliable braking performance and safety. The derailleur system is also by Shimano and comprises the Altus RD-M310, a 3x8-speed system controlled by the Shimano SL-RS45-8R Revo shifter. The front derailleur is the Altus FD-M310-M6, also from Shimano.

Comfort and control are provided by the SR Suntour XCT JR fork with 50 mm of travel. The bike is also fitted with powerful lighting: the Trelock I Veo front light provides 20 lux, whilst the Duo Top rear light ensures visibility in traffic. Power is generated by a Shimano DH-3D37 dynamo.

The bottom bracket is a 73 mm BSA, and the crankset consists of the SR Suntour XCC-T102 with chainrings of 42, 34 and 24 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG31 with 8 speeds. The handlebars (Oxygen Driver 600 mm) and stem (Oxygen Driver) provide an ergonomic riding position, supported by the STEVENS MTB 1 1/8" headset.

The rims are Oxygen COMP-D X19, 19 x 584, and the tyres are Schwalbe Landcruiser Plus Active-Line, 50-507, which ensure good traction and stability. The hubs are Shimano DH-3D37 at the front and FH-TX505 at the rear. The saddle (Oxygen Raceline) and seatpost (Oxygen Driver) provide additional comfort on longer rides.

The bike is also fitted with STEVENS clip-on mudguards to protect against splashes, as well as a sturdy kickstand for easy parking. The pedals are MTB Flatpedal Reflex, which ensure a secure grip. Overall, the Stevens Furious 24" is a well-equipped bike that is suitable for both everyday use and sporting activities.
