Stevens Esprit Lady

The 2020 "Esprit Lady" model from Stevens is a versatile and well-equipped trekking bike that stands out thanks to its numerous technical features and well-thought-out design. Priced at 1399 EUR, this bike offers excellent value for money.

The Esprit Lady’s frame is made from 6061 TB aluminium, ensuring a robust yet lightweight construction. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 14 kg. This combination allows for a high load capacity whilst keeping the bike’s own weight low.

For the brakes, Stevens has opted for the Shimano BR-MT400 system, complemented by Shimano BL-MT401 brake levers, which ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore XT Trekking Shadow RD-T8000-SGS with a 3x10-speed configuration, supported by the Shimano Deore SL-M6000 shifters and the Shimano Deore Trekking FD-T6000-L3L front derailleur. This high-quality groupset ensures precise and smooth gear changes.

The SR Suntour NCX-D LO Air fork, with 63 mm of travel, offers additional comfort on uneven terrain and contributes to a pleasant riding experience. For lighting, the Esprit Lady is fitted with a B+M Eyc T Senso+ front light (50 lux) and a Shine Evo rear light, both powered by the Shutter Precision PL-8 dynamo.

Other features include ATB Alu Pro Reflex pedals, a BSA 68 mm bottom bracket and a Shimano FC-T551 crankset with 48-36-26 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with a 10-speed range. The handlebars and stem are Oxygen Scorpo components; the handlebars are 630 mm wide.

The bike is also fitted with Oxygen PRO-D A19 rims (19 x 622) and Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres (40-622), ensuring good road holding and durability. The hubs are a combination of a Shutter Precision PL-8 at the front and a Shimano Deore XT at the rear.

Comfort is ensured by the Selle Royal Freccia Lady saddle and the Oxygen Scorpo seatpost. Practical features such as SKS mudguards, a Pletscher Comp kickstand and the Racktime Shine Evo RTA luggage rack round off the specification, making the Esprit Lady an ideal companion for daily commutes and longer rides.
