Stevens Esprit Forma

The 2020 Stevens Esprit Forma is a high-quality trekking bike that stands out for its robust components and well-thought-out features. It costs 1,399 EUR and offers a wide range of technical features suitable for both everyday use and longer rides.

The bike’s frame is made from 6061 TB aluminium, which ensures a good balance between stability and low weight. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 14 kg. The SR Suntour NCX-D LO Air fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano BR-MT400 disc brakes in combination with the Shimano BL-MT401 brake levers, which ensure reliable and precise deceleration. The gear system consists of a Shimano Deore XT Trekking Shadow RD-T8000-SGS with 3x10 speeds, controlled by Shimano Deore SL-M6000 shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore Trekking FD-T6000-L3L, which enables smooth and efficient gear changes.

The bike is fitted with a B+M Eyc T Senso+ front light (50 lux) and a Shine Evo rear light, both reliably powered by a Shutter Precision PL-8 dynamo. This ensures optimum visibility and safety when cycling at dusk or at night.

Other features include ATB Alu Pro Reflex pedals, a BSA 68 mm bottom bracket, a Shimano FC-T551 crankset with 48-36-26 teeth, and a Shimano CS-HG500 cassette with a 10-speed range. The handlebars and stem are from the Oxygen Scorpo series, with the handlebars measuring 630 mm in width. The headset is a STEVENS AH Taper 1 1/8"-1 1/2".

The Oxygen PRO-D A19 rims (19 x 622) are fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres (40-622), which are renowned for their durability and low rolling resistance. The hubs consist of a Shutter Precision PL-8 at the front and a Shimano Deore XT at the rear. The Selle Royal Freccia Lady saddle and the Oxygen Scorpo seatpost provide additional comfort.

The Stevens Esprit Forma also features SKS mudguards, a Pletscher Comp kickstand and a Racktime Shine Evo RTA luggage rack, making it a versatile bike suitable for a variety of uses.
