Stevens Elegance Lite Gent

The “Elegance Lite Gent” model from the “Stevens” brand, released in 2020, is a versatile and robust bicycle designed for both everyday use and longer rides. Priced at 759 EUR, it offers good value for money and impresses with its well-thought-out features and high-quality build.

The bike’s frame is made from 6061 aluminium, resulting in a sturdy yet lightweight total weight of 14 kg. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, making the bike suitable for heavier riders or for carrying luggage.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro STB-01 V-brakes combined with a coaster brake. The brake levers are Tektro CL 330-RS, which ensure reliable and easy operation. The gear system consists of a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8C 8-speed hub gear, operated via the Shimano Nexus 8 SL-C6000 gear lever. This combination enables precise and low-maintenance gear-changing performance.

The bike’s fork is the STEVENS T-12V, which ensures a comfortable ride. The bike is also fitted with a B+M Upp 30 Lux front light and a Toplight 2C+ rear light, both powered by a Shimano DH-C3000-3N-NT dynamo to ensure adequate lighting at all times.

The pedals are City Reflex pedals, which provide a secure grip. The bottom bracket is a BSA 68 mm, and the crankset is made of Oxygen aluminium with 38 teeth. The sprocket has 20 teeth and is also from Shimano. The handlebars are Oxygen Driver with a width of 630 mm, combined with an Oxygen Driver stem and a STEVENS AH 1 1/8" headset.

The rims are Oxygen COMP A19, measuring 19 x 622, and the tyres are Schwalbe Citizen Active-Line in size 42-622, which provide good traction and comfort. The hubs are also Shimano Nexus, which contributes to the overall high quality of the drivetrain.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Wave Gent model, mounted on an Oxygen aluminium seatpost, which provides additional comfort. The bike is also fitted with SKS mudguards, which protect against dirt and splashes. A kickstand and a Racktime luggage rack complete the package, making the “Elegance Lite Gent” a practical and reliable everyday companion.
