Stevens Courier Luxe Forma

The “Courier Luxe Forma” model from Stevens, launched in 2020, is a high-quality bicycle that stands out for its well-thought-out features and solid build quality. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, which gives the bike excellent stability whilst keeping its weight down to just 13 kg. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of uses.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers, deliver reliable and precise stopping power. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8D with 8 speeds, operated via the Shimano Alfine 8 SL-S503 gear lever. This allows for simple and efficient gear selection.

The bike’s fork is a STEVENS S-Lite aluminium fork, which provides additional stability and comfort. The lighting comprises a B+M Eyc T Senso+ front light with 50 lux and a Shine Evo rear light, both powered by a Shutter Precision PL-8X hub dynamo. This ensures reliable lighting even in the dark.

The bottom bracket is a 68 mm BSA, and the crankset consists of a Gates S250 CDN with 50 teeth. The sprocket is a Gates CDN Centre Track sprocket with 24 teeth, and the drive is via a Gates CDN Centre Track Carbon Drive Belt, which is renowned for its durability and low maintenance.

The handlebars are Oxygen Scorpo, 630 mm wide, combined with an Oxygen Scorpo stem and a STEVENS AH Taper headset. The rims are Oxygen PRO-D A19, measuring 19 x 622, and the tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Racer in size 40-622, which are valued for their good rolling efficiency and puncture resistance.

The front hub is a Shutter Precision PL-8X dynamo and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus hub. The saddle is a Selle Royal Viper Lady, mounted on an Oxygen Scorpo seatpost. SKS mudguards and a Pletscher Comp kickstand provide additional comfort and protection. The luggage rack is a Racktime Shine Evo IMM, which is ideal for carrying luggage.
