Stevens Courier Lite Gent

The “Courier Lite Gent” model from Stevens, released in 2020, is a versatile, high-quality bicycle designed for urban use. Priced at 1099 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of lightness, stability and functionality.

The bike’s frame is made from 6061 TB aluminium, which contributes to its overall stability and durability, whilst the maximum load capacity of 130 kg and a kerb weight of 14 kg ensure a robust yet lightweight construction. The brakes and brake levers are Shimano BR-MT200 and Shimano BL-MT200 respectively, ensuring reliable and controlled braking.

The gear system is a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8D with a 1x8 configuration, operated via the Shimano Alfine 8 SL-S503 gear lever. This combination allows for precise and easy gear selection. The fork is made from STEVENS S-Lite aluminium, which further contributes to the bike’s lightness and stability.

Lighting is provided by a B+M IQ Myc T Senso+ front light with 50 lux and a Toplight 2C+ rear light, both powered by a Shimano DH-3D37-QR dynamo. This equipment ensures optimum visibility and safety when cycling at dusk or in the dark.

The bike is fitted with City Reflex pedals and features a BSA 68 mm bottom bracket. The crankset is a Shimano Alfine FC-S501 with 42 teeth, whilst the rear cassette is a Shimano model with 20 teeth. The handlebars and stem are Oxygen Scorpo models and have a width of 640 mm, which contributes to a comfortable and stable riding position. The headset is a STEVENS AH 1 1/8".

The rims are Oxygen PRO-D A19, measuring 19 x 622, combined with Continental Contact Light tyres (42-622), which ensure good grip and a comfortable ride. The hubs are also by Shimano (DH-3D37-QR | Nexus), which contributes to the bike’s overall quality and reliability.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Nuvola Gent, which, together with the Oxygen Scorpo seatpost, ensures comfort even on longer rides. In addition, the bike is fitted with SKS mudguards to protect against splashes and dirt, as well as a Pletscher Comp kickstand for easy parking.
