Stevens Beat SL Disc 24"

The "Beat SL Disc 24"" model from Stevens, released in 2023, is a high-quality children’s and young people’s bike that stands out for its robust construction and well-thought-out features. The frame is made from 6061 TB aluminium, which gives the bike excellent stability whilst keeping it lightweight. With a total weight of just 10 kg and a maximum load capacity of 65 kg, the Beat SL Disc 24" is a lightweight yet sturdy bike that is perfect for young riders.

The bike’s braking system utilises the tried-and-tested Tektro HD-J285 technology, both at the front and rear. The brake discs each have a diameter of 160 mm (Tektro TR160-24), ensuring reliable braking performance. The bike is fitted with the Shimano Altus RD-M310 8-speed system, controlled via the Shimano SL-RS45-8R Revo shifter. This combination delivers precise and smooth gear changes.

The bike’s fork is a STEVENS aluminium unicrown, which contributes to a comfortable and stable ride. The crankset is an Oxygen Aluminium Pro with 32 teeth, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG31 with 8-speed gearing. The bottom bracket measures 68 mm (BSA), ensuring a durable and low-maintenance bearing system.

The Oxygen Pistol handlebars, with a width of 560 mm, and the Oxygen Aluminium Pro stem provide additional comfort and control. The headset is a STEVENS MTB 1 1/8", which also contributes to stability and steering precision. The rims are Oxygen RM-M17, both front and rear, and are fitted with Schwalbe Billy Bonkers tyres (50-507), which ensure good grip and riding comfort.

The hubs are Formula (DC-20 at the front and DC-22 at the rear), which ensures reliable and long-lasting performance. The saddle is a comfortable Oxygen Sportline, mounted on an Oxygen aluminium seatpost. The spec is rounded off by KID Reflex pedals and a chain guard, which protects the chain from dirt and damage.
