Stevens 8X Lite Tour Gent

The "8X Lite Tour Gent" model from Stevens, released in 2022, is a high-quality trekking bike that stands out for its first-class specifications and well-thought-out design. Priced at 2,099 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features designed for both everyday use and longer tours.

The bike’s frame is made from SL 6061 TB aluminium, which gives it high stability and a low weight. Both the front and rear brakes are fitted with the Shimano Deore XT BR-M8100 system, ensuring reliable braking performance. The Shimano BL-T8100 brake levers and the VR:SM-RT64 (180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear) perfectly complement the braking system.

The Shimano Deore XT Trekking Shadow RD-T8000-SGS system is used for the gear changes, offering precise and rapid gear shifting. The shift levers are also from Shimano (Deore XT Trekking SL-T8000), and the front derailleur is the Shimano Deore XT Trekking FD-T8000-HL3 model. This ensures smooth gear-changing performance in every riding situation.

The bike’s fork is the STEVENS S-Lite Aluminium, which provides additional stability and comfort on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by the B+M Lumotec IQ-X T front light and the B+M Shine Evo rear light, both of which are powered by a Shimano DH-UR708-3D dynamo.

The bike is fitted with ATB Alu Comp Reflex pedals, which ensure a secure grip. The bottom bracket is a 73 mm BSA, and the crankset is also from Shimano (Deore XT Trekking FC-T8000) with 48-36-26T chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano CS-M771, 10-speed.

The handlebars and stem are both Oxygen Scorpo models, with the handlebars measuring 640 mm in width. The headset is a STEVENS AH Taper 1 1/8"-1 1/2". The rims are Oxygen RM-X21 (21 x 622) at both the front and rear, fitted with Schwalbe G-One Allround Performance tyres (35-622).

The front hub is a Shimano DH-UR708-3D and the rear hub is a Shimano Deore XT FH-M8000. The saddle is an Oxygen Havoc, mounted on an Oxygen Scorpo seatpost. For added comfort and protection, SKS mudguards are fitted, and a chain guard protects the chain from dirt and damage.

The spec is rounded off by a Pletscher Comp kickstand and a Racktime Shine Evo RTA luggage rack, which offers plenty of space for luggage, making the bike ideal for longer tours.
