Stevens 5X LT

The "5X LT" model from Stevens, released in 2024, is a versatile bicycle that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The bike is fitted with a 6061 TB aluminium frame, which ensures stability and durability. Weighing 13 kg and with a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, the “5X LT” offers a good balance between lightness and load-bearing capacity.

The bike’s braking system comprises Tektro HD-T275 brake levers and Tektro HD-T275 disc brakes at the front and rear, fitted with 180 mm and 160 mm brake discs respectively. This ensures reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is provided by the Shimano CUES U4000 Shadow RD-U3020-SGS with 18 speeds, which, in combination with the Shimano CUES U4000 shift levers and the Shimano CUES U4000 front derailleur, offers precise and smooth gear changes.

The SR Suntour NX1-Coil LO fork, with 63 mm of travel, provides additional comfort and control on uneven terrain. The crankset consists of a Shimano CUES U4000 with 46-30 teeth, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-LG300-9, 9-speed. The bottom bracket is a BSA 73 mm, which contributes to the stability and efficiency of the drivetrain.

Additional comfort and control are provided by the Oxygen Driver handlebars, 630 mm wide, the Oxygen Driver stem and the STEVENS AH 1 1/8" headset. The rims are Oxygen RM-M19, 19 x 622, at both the front and rear, and the Schwalbe Smart Sam Active-Line tyres in size 42-622 offer good grip and durability. The hubs are Formula CL-51 at the front and Formula CL-52 at the rear, which contribute to the bike’s smooth running and reliability.

The saddle is an Oxygen Lynx, mounted on an Oxygen Driver seatpost, which provides additional comfort. The pedals are ATB Pro Reflex, offering a secure connection between rider and bike.

The 2024 Stevens “5X LT” is available for €899 and offers a balanced combination of quality, performance and value for money, making it an attractive choice for a wide range of uses.
