Scott Speedster Gravel 50

The "Speedster Gravel 50" model from the Scott brand from 2023 is a versatile and robust gravel bike designed for demanding rides on a wide variety of terrain. With a price of EUR 1399, it offers excellent value for money.

The frame of the Speedster Gravel 50 is made of Speedster Gravel Disc / D.Butted 6061 Alloy and features SCOTT gravel geometry. It is equipped with a replaceable derailleur hanger and internal cable routing. The frame is also prepared for the Syncros fender kit. The permissible total weight is 120 kg, while the bike itself weighs 11 kg.

The bike is designed for riders between 185 cm and 195 cm tall. Braking power is provided by Tektro MD-C511 mechanical disc brakes at both the front and rear, with Tektro TR-160-35 brake discs, each with a diameter of 160 mm.

The shifting system consists of a Shimano Claris RD-R2000-GS shifting system with 16 gears. The shift levers are Shimano Claris ST-R2000 dual-control levers, which also enable 16 gears. The front derailleur is a Shimano Claris FD-R2000. The crankset is a Shimano Claris FC-RS2000 with a gear ratio of 50x34 teeth, while the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG50 with 8 gears and a gradation of 11-32 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X8 chain.

The bike's fork is a Speedster Gravel Alloy Flatmount Disc fork with an eccentric aluminium steerer (1 1/4"-1 1/2"). The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN300, the handlebar is a Syncros Creston 2.0 X made of aluminium with a diameter of 31.8 mm, and the stem is a Syncros RR2.5 with a length of 113 mm.

The headset is an Acros AIF-1133, the bike has black spokes (2 mm) and Syncros Race 24 disc rims with 28 spokes front and rear. The hubs are of the Formula Team II CL Disc type with 28 holes. The tyres are Schwalbe G-One Bite Performance in size 700x40C.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros RR2.5 seat post measuring 27.2/350 mm.

Further technical data includes a reach of 396 mm, a stack of 608 mm, a seat tube length of 580 mm and a top tube length of 581 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees. The head tube length is 183 mm, the chainstay length is 439 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 71 mm and the fork pre-bend is 50 mm. The standover height is 844 mm, the fork height is 399 mm and the wheelbase is 1067 mm. The bottom bracket height is 283 mm.

The Speedster Gravel 50 is therefore a well-equipped bike that is suitable for both long tours and sporty use on unpaved roads.
